Boat Project Blog
We’ve been pretty busy these past two weeks and so we didn’t have the chance to put up a blog post last week but here it is. last week we spent a lot of time putting on the next side panels and our boat is looking not and more like a boat.. Most of us in the girls’ boat project are avid readers, so we started our day with a visit to the library and time to peruse all of the treasures there. after looking through tales of adventure, nautical history, and books on tools, boat design and knots, each of us left with a book to read over the break.. The boat safety examiner introduced us to the wonderfully named bill tricket, a man who is evidently revered as the second coming of christ amongst boat builders, even dropping his name to officials sweetened them up instantly, and bought us more time..
The student named programme and training course, river 2 recovery ( we can thank student will for the name), started as ‘the boat project’ and quickly developed into something much broader than building boats and ‘the river experience’..
